 Microneedling

Microneedling also known as skin needling is a collagen induction therapy. Our body naturally produces collagen in abundance when we are young. Unfortunately, as we age this production drastically starts to decline from around 25 and continues the older we get. Therefore, this treatment involves repeatedly puncturing the skin with tiny sterile needles to cause controlled trauma to the skin which then activates the body’s own self defence mechanism stimulating collagen and elastin production to repair any damage. This process along with any new skin cell production, creates the rejuvenation effect.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an all-natural treatment that can help replenish youthful skin in the face and various parts of the body. Withdrawn from the patient’s very own blood, PRP contains special growth properties that can help correct the appearance of the skin and restore hair growth at a cellular level.

Only a very small sample of your own blood is taken. It is then spun in a centrifuge which separates the PRP from the blood which is then injected back into the treatment area with fine, superficial needles or a cannula can be used. Treatment time takes 1 hour and topical numbing cream is used on the treatment areas for comfort.

Platelets contain a high content of “growth factors” – proteins that help to heal injured tissue or damaged skin. Upon re-injection the platelets release their growth factors which trigger surrounding cells to proliferate. These cells can rejuvenate skin, tissues, hair follicles, tendons, and bones. Therefore when injected into the face it results in firmer and younger looking skin by stimulating repair, increasing volume and rejuvenating the skin.

Vampire Facial

This intense facial is the combination of two treatments; both Platelet rich Plasma (PRP) therapy and Microneedling also known as skin needling or mesotherapy. The vampire facial or ‘vampire lift’ while yes, there is blood involved, it’s not nearly as gory as the name or media portrays. The combo is given this name as PRP is taken from your own blood and then injected back into the face, micro needling also causes the skin to superficially bleed making your face look, well, some would say scary. However, this is only very superficial bleeding during treatment which is wiped a way at the end leaving only a red flushed appearance - similar to a sunburn type of reaction.

For optimal client comfort we apply a topical anaesthetic cream to the area beforehand. Treatment takes approximately one hour and RED LED light therapy is recommended after to reduce redness, swelling and kickstart the healing process.

PRP therapy involves taking a small sample of your own blood that is then inserted into a machine called a centrifuge. This process separates the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) part of the blood (AKA Liquid Gold) and this is injected back into your face by using tiny, fine needles. This procedure is helps the skin look more rejuvenated, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, and more.

Microneedling encourages collagen production by the direct physical injury that takes place. This starts a collagen and healing cascade, inducing collagen elastin fibrin production and enhancing blood flow to the area. This results in superficial skin tightening,

texture improvements and allows for resurfacing of the skin. Adding the PRP from your own blood to this type of collagen induction procedure, adds growth factors, which double and even triple this collagen induction process. It is an excellent treatment for tightening wrinkles and skin imperfections on face, neck, décolletage and hands.
